The dissertation studies the regional spillover. With reference of the PSE(Problem Solving Environment ), The MRSA(Muli-Regional Spillover Analysis) is built for conducting an investigation in the method of researching the economic issues such as regional spillover under the GIScience. The models on regional spillovers are extended and developed and the regional spillovers in China have been studied as a case. The themes on the knowledge spillovers, the spillovers of informatization infrastructure, the GDP spillovers with informatization and the natural resource spillovers are discussed in the dissertation.chapter 1st is the overviews about spillovers. At first, the spillover is a cover-all concept and seems unclear, which is an obstruction for lucubrating on regional spillover. We summarize the spillovers from five standards and focus on the regional spillovers which includes knowledge spillovers, GDP spillovers and natural resource spillovers. In a word, the regional spillovers refers to the phenomenon that one region presents another region some benefits or damage, it usually appears as economic dependence, restriction and getting a hitchhike among the regions. The meaning of spillovers is different from spatial interactions and spatial diffusing, but it is also connected with them. Those differences and commons emphasize both economic and geographical features. Secondly, We have recognized the lack of computable models of spillovers after the review of the measures of spillovers, spatial scales of spillovers ,as well as spillover effects etc. . Finally, the necessity of the application of GIScience in the spillovers analyses is expatiated.Chapter 2nd is about the construction of MRSA. The issues of the choice of analysis methods, the function demands, the database and the realization of the tasks in computer are discussed in detail. The concept model of three layers structure including base layer, middle layer and applying layer is the strategy of the system construction. The middle layer is the bridge between the general and the special system. Finally the computing platform for the spillovers research is developed.Chapter 3rd is about regional knowledge spillover. To verify the opinion that some observable facts of spatial interactions are related to the regional spillovers, the case of China is studied. The data of railway goods flows and population migration among the provinces of China are used andthe CH model is applied extendedly under the MRSA. The facts based estimation and non-facts based estimation methods by Keller provides the way for the study. The influence of the industry structure and the regional dependence degrees on the regional spillover is discussed further. The results indicat that the opinion is true for the case of China, but the negative spillover during the process of the trade reveals that the regional knowledge spillovers probably is of complicated.Chapter 4th contains the case study on the effect of spillover of regional informatization from two aspects under the MRSA. Firstly, on the basis of different measure of the levels of regional informatization of different regional scales, the economic growth accounting model is applied to estimate the contribution of spillover of informatization infrastructure to regional economic growth. The results show that the effects of spillover of informatization infrastructure are positive in some provinces and negative in other provinces. That the unbalanced development of informatization would lead to the new regional economic gap in China. Secondly, the paper researches comparatively the case of GDP spillover with the informatization gap and that without the gap. The result indicates the degrees of GDP spillovers in the former case are less than that in the later one. Therefore, the new regional linkage in China is formed under the effect of informatization.Chaper 5 researches into the subject on the natural spillover which is the question little touched in the spillover studies. It is argued that unless the resources are traded under the non-optim...
