Quantitative computation of image logging data has always been the focus of log interpretation. In this paper, based on two sets of simulating wells of 'ultrasonic-electric simulating apparatus' and 'micro fractures simulating apparatus', the methods of computing fractural width and porosity from the ultrasonic-electric image logging data obtained from Atlas tools are presented, and the image logging data processing and interpreting software of 'FracView' is developed, which has shown bright prospect in the petroleum exploration and production application. In this paper, the processing procedures and methods of ultrasonic-electric image logging data are analyzed by researching into the principles of ultrasonic-electric image logging, the physical denotation of image data and the influencing factors on logging quality. Especially, the methods of eccentric correction and image enhancement different to eXpress software are improved, and the better result gained than that from eXpress software. Based on the above works, the fundamentals of quantitative computation methodology and software development are established. From the methods of quantitatively calculating the fractural width and numerical simulation outcomes published, the key influencing factors on precision are carefully analyzed, and the essential technology is formed to analyze the experimental data from the simulating wells. Firstly, by generally analyzing the ultrasonic image data from simulating wells, the functional relationship between the apparent width of fracture and the variation of echo amplitude in eXpress software is modified, and the new relationship is established, which is validated from the simulating wells' data. Secondly, the formula of calculating the micro fractures from electric image logging data is carried out though further analysis for ultrasonic-electric image data of micro fractures in simulating wells, and the relationship of fracture width and computing accuracy is summarized also. Thirdly, the method of calculating the primary porosity and fractural porosity of fractural reservoir using electric image logging data is further studied, and the method of using...
