Loess landslide is a common geological disaster in loess region, one third of the landslides occur in loess area. The hazard of landslides'impact on the development of human society and economic development is worldwide. As the data base of the GIS digital terrain analysis, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) contains rich of terrain, topography and related geo-information and knowledge. Making full use of remote sensing technology and geographic information systems to collect and analyze geological topography information has become an inevitable trend of the ecological environment geological survey. In summing up predecessors'research results as well as research experience, and combining field survey data of the slide occurring places, this paper analyzes the impact of major landscape features on loess landslide disaster risk assessments. Based on the terrain information extracted from DEM which derived from topographic map of 1:5 million scale, making use of GIS, numerical statistics and comparative analysis methods to explore the relationship between terrain, topography, vegetation factors of the Baotaqu center city and the risk assessments of slides , mainly for the following studies :1: Rather integrated fatalness assessment and working procedure of loess coast come into being to geographical environment in loess regions from DEM data gathering, data analysis, selection standard of assessment, analysis of assessing model and fatalness forecast.2: Provides improved space analysis to fatalness assessment of loess coast with deep research and practice by Fuzzy math theory, ANN GIS technology and remote sensing technology.3: Stated the assessment system with DEM data information as the main source.4: Established mathematic model for the fatalness assessment of loess area in researching regions. Implemented ANN by comparing fatalness assessment in researching regions with 3 models. Assessment displayed the conclusion of Fuzzy...
