We present theoretical analysis and experimental results of coherent population trapping within Zeeman sublevels of rubidium under Hanle configuration, and bichromatic dark states are firstly observed in the experiment.A systemic review of the principles of optical pumping, influence of decay process and typical optical experiments(spin exchange,NMR etc) is presented. In the chapter of coherent population trapping, three basic concepts, namely Rabi frequency, Autler-Townes effect and Fano interference are given. Combining with the phenomena of EIT and EIA, the application for laser without inversion (LWI), Coherent population transfer (STIRAP) quantum information storage and CPT atomic clock is introduced. In the chapter of experimental device, we present the principle of semiconductor laser. The mode and bandwidth of laser beam in cavity are analyzed. By introducing the saturation absorption spectrum, the theory of locking laser frequency with PID electric circuit is presented. It should be point out that self-made PID pcb board basing on the linear magnetic-optics under Zeeman sublevels is offered. The principle of locking the side and peak of saturation absorption signal is analyzed and the results do great help for subsequent experiments. The operation theory of Fabry-Perot interferometer is also presented here. The results of Zeeman splitting in external magnetic field and accurate magnetic calculation for the coils are given in the part of interaction...
