The paper conducts an exploratory study on radioecology at Daya Bay. First, based on marine hydrodynamics, a mathematical model for three dimensional flow field and material field, and stratified pattern and difference scheme for three dimensional flow field and convection diffusion equation in the system of rectangular coordinates have been developed at Daya Bay. The method of numerical simulation is employed to compute the values of water level, tidal velocity and the distribution of the concentration of liquid radioactive wastes from nuclear power station in the sea area near GNPS. According to simplified marine organism model, a computing model is set for radiation dosage on several kinds of marine organism, and the method of numerical simulation is used to compute the rate of radiation dosage on marine organism. On grounds of the theory of radioecology, compartment model of nuclide transfer in the marine ecosystem has been developed, and a kind of differential coefficient equation for the description of marine hydrodynamics and behavior equation groups of nuclide in organism are newly constructed to give a numerical simulation of nuclide transfer in the marine ecosystem. Finally, three dimensional convection diffusion equation is used to compute the change of the concentration of aquatic organism in space and time, thus making an analog calculation and a study of entrainment effect of water intake at Daya Bay and Lingao Nuclear Power Stations. The findings of the study show that there is a low rate of radiation dosage on marine organism, and liquid radioactive wastes from GNPS & LNPS have a very limited effect on ecological environment in the surrounding sea area at Daya Bay and Lingao Nuclear Power Stations and will not bring about any radiation damage to marine organism at Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station. Besides, the findings of the study on entrainment effect of water intake at Daya Bay and Lingao Nuclear Power Stations can be used as the basis for evaluating the effect of entrainment process of cooling water of GNPS & LNPS on aquatic resources.
