After analyzing the main experimental devices of the fluid mechanics, some common features of these devices were summarized, acquisition and controlling platform for fluid mechanics equipments were discussed, and the architecture composed by remote experiment and virtual experiment was set up. Based on the overall situation of the real-time remote experimental system, in this paper, we discussed the basic requirements of the remote experimental teaching and the hardware structure of the real-time remote experimental system. According to the basic requirements and the hardware structure, the software architecture of the system was built, and some key technologies involved in the software structure were studied. The general remote laboratory controller was developed, and the main performance for remote laboratory controller was carried out. Liquid column manometer reading measured based on the machine vision was proposed, which was shown that efficient and effective through the experimental study. Above studies about the remote experimental were applied in the wind tunnel experiment, the air flow rig experiment, and some other fluid mechanics experiments. At last, key technologies on virtual laboratory were studied, which analyzed the mathematics model building for the virtual experiment, establish model for the virtual laboratory, three-dimension geometry solid model for virtual device, and the interactive for virtual laboratory. Then some fluid mechanics experiments were developed.
