This paper faces to the current forward position project of peeling centering theory research field and but also the key process which influence and restrict the enterprises benefit and its output of log of peeling production company that is peeling log centering working procedure to make system and deeply research.Based on summarizing and analysis internal and external traditional mechanical centering theory: Mechanical three points centering > four points centering theory and traditional variance centering theory and its optimization theory. First in the world put forward the log six points regression centering theory, and considering with the needs of engineering checkout working, advance three points initial centering and then seven points sampling and six points centering checkout scheme.This theory is applied in 863HTRDP of China Intelligence Peeling Log Center Robot Research. Six points centering theory has already become the core theory for the robot centering procession .In this project six points centering theory is used in the video checkout of the two end surfaces of log and two cross section mechanical touching checkout. After that according to conclusion of real checkout four surfaces by the curve log mathematics model the peeling optimization mathematics model is set up. Then comparison total solving the key technology and theory problems for the peeling veneer process from the beginning of changer the log centering checkout and the data procession to the final centering optimization process. So the base is setup upon these research on intelligence peeling changer robot experiment table design.
