In this dissertation, a series of ultra-thin films based on photosensitive diazoresin (DR) were fabricated through layer-by-layer self-assembly, and the films become very stable toward polar solvents and salt aqueous solutions after UV irradiation. The results obtained mainly in this dissertation are listed as follows:1. The photosensitive multilayer films from sulfonated metal-free, sulfonated copper-, and sulfonated nickel-phthalocyanines were fabricated layer by layer with DR on a substrate via electrostatic interaction by self-assembly technique. Under UV irradiation, the linkage nature between the layers of the film is converted from electrostatic to covalent. The photovoltaic properties of the covalently attached film can be determined with a traditional three-electrodes photoelectrochemical cell in aqueous solutions using KCl as supporting electrolyte. The photocurrent determination shows that the sulfonated copper-containing phthalocyanine films possess higher photocurrent value than that of sulfonated metal-free and sulfonated nickel-containing phthalocyanine films.2. Two kinds of azo-containing resin (Azo-R) were synthesized by the coupling reaction of 2-nitro-N-methyldiphenylamine-4-diazoresin (NDR) and DR with phenol, and a kind of new covalentely attached multilayer films from Azo-R as H-donor and photosensitive diazoresin, DR as H-acceptor via H-bonding attraction by self-assembly technique has been fabricated. The UV-irradiated azo-containing films can be used to measure photocurrent in a conventional three-electrodes photoelectrochemical cell in KCl or KI aqueous solution. It was confirmed that the azo-containing multilayer films are responsible for the photocurrent generation and the KI/I2 system can greatly improve the photocurrent response of the multilayer films. The photocurrent value determined in KI/I2 system is 100 times higher than that in the KCl aquesus solution. The acidblue and skyblue containing self-assembly films were also fabricated and their photoelectro conversion property were measured by the method mentioned above. The results show that the phtotelectro conversion property of the films was greatly affected by the substituted group on the film. The electro-donor group will increase the photocurrent value while the electro-acceptor group will decrease it in the same determination condition.4.
