The visual technique is an useful tool for revealing unsolved complicated problems of science and technology. Nowadays, and more attentions to visual technique are paid in natural science. And it has shown a wide use in study of polymer processing principles.Since 1935, the invention of twin screw extruder has got a great progress. The machines so far have been widely used in polymer industry and other industries such as food industry. As an efficient mixer, the co-rotating intermeshing twin-screw extruder has become the most important equipment to produce polymer blend and polymer reinforced materials.Based on the state of using visual technique in twin screw extrusion in the world, a more perfect method is put forward,and it has been carried out in our research work. That is, a twin screw extruder, with visual successirve transparent glass windows in three sections, was designed and manufactured successfully. The special machine, having advanced mechanical properties and equiped excellent scientific testing facilities, can be used to observe the whole process of twin screw extrusion under the industrial operating conditions.
