In order to solve river pollution issue resulted from city waste water, the report researches different characters of remove pollutant in city waste water, using biologic technologies including artificial wetlands, soil percolation, organism percolation ponds and riverway stable ponds etc. And, withal, the report processes systemic research about treatment objects and treatment technologies to set up the biologic systemic treatment theory and method to recover the function of polluted river, applying great system theory on the complexity of city waste water and the diversity of treatment unit construction.At the beginning, the report describes the research background which is Xinyi River of Jiangsu Province polluted by waste water, and discusses the impendence of treatment the river polluted by city waste water. The report summarize biologic control technology research and present applying on water pollution, and the systemic treatment theory and method on biologic recovery the function of polluted river.Whereafter, the experimentation researches artificial wetlands, soil percolation, organism percolation ponds and riverway stable ponds etc. biologic technology, and reaches the results: â‘  Excellent removal effect was gained on CODmn, NH+4-N, Phosphorus or Chroma using artificial wetlands. Due to different construct, the effects on CODMnOf 3 kinds of artificial wetlands are different, i.e. the effect of ISFW is best and the average removal rate reached more than 65%. Limited effect on CODmn, NH+4-N. and Phosphorus and bad effect on Chroma was gained by soil percolation system. â‘¡ Organism percolation ponds have obviously purifying effect on Xinyi River, especially the granule organism percolation, over 85% removal rate was reached on CODMn and NH+4-N. (3) There is obviously effect when riverway stable ponds run on continuous water release. For self-purification and section runoff concentration, the concentration of pollutant index decreases sharply from the upstream to downstream, thereinto, removal rates on NH+4-N, COD and BOD was 51.6%, 41.6% and 43.1% respectively.For the systemic optimized research of biologic recovery on city waste water, the great system theory on the complexity of treatment objects and the diversity of treatment unit technology was applied to research systemically on the relation between treatment objects and treatment technologies.
