| With the increasing development of nanotechnology, nanomaterials with different morphologys have attracted great interest due to their charming physical and chemical properties, such as optical, electrical, magnetic, adsorptive and catalytic properties, which is sensitive to their composition, size and shaps.Inorganic hollow micro/nanostructures have been one of the research frontiers and focuses for nanomaterials field due to their low density, high specific surface area, monodispersivity, stability, and novel multifunctional properties arising from combining different materials into the hollow interiors and potential applications in many fields. This article reviews the recent progress in the synthesis, characterization and properties of this new field for inorganic hollow micro/nanostructures.Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a kind of II-IV semiconductors with wide–band-gap. Intensive research has focused on ZnO duo to its considerable applications in optical, optoelectonic, gas sensor and Photocatalytic.A one-step, template-free solution method was developed to fabricate ZnO hollow spheres in this dissertation. Main researches are followed as:(1) In assistence of polyxometalates,ZnO hollow spheres have been synthesized via a one-step, template-free solvethermal method.(2) The effect of polyxometalate, reaction time and temperature on the morphology of the ZnO hollow spheres has also been discussed.(3) Reasonable mechanism was also suggested to explain the formation of the as-prepared ZnO hollow spheres.(4) The optical and photocatalytic properties of the as-prepared ZnO hollow spheres were investigated. |
