The paper mainly studies and explores a basic approach and modeling method of developing Intelligent Design and Simulation Platfrom for Substation Switching Operation System that satisfy the generalization, intelligentization, openness. The proposed system was provided with an independent copyright design platform for constructing switching operation system in various transformer substations, in which users complete the whole process of construction. The developed techniques and modeling methods have been thoroughly carried out in this dissertation. The feature-based apparatus component information model and the object relevancy of switch bays are studied. Using the software design method of dataflow to analyze the demands, the information integrating models and the whole framework under the concurrent environments are established; Using the object-oriented method to analyse the feature modeling of power network, the class hierarchy and the attribute distribution of each hierarchy are created, and the E-R model based on apparatus components is proposed; To solve the problem of individualized design of operating components, the idea to "command"language and "customization"is adopted. The modeling theory and method based on numerical apparatus functional features is brought forward. The intelligent design behavior model is described by one or more numerical functional features based on the method; In terms of the diversity design of power networks and the existential relations to apparatus and status of the switch bay, the numerical model of position topology and apparatus status topology of switch bay is created based on two existential theorems; At the same time, the rule/case-based reasoning of operating regulations can be designed based on Petri net reachable tree. The reachable tree is set by the switch bay position topology and apparatus state topology, in which each transition represents a regulation, the antecedents of the regulation are input spots and the consequences are output spots. The contexture mechanism of switch bays and the geometric link of component intelligentization are investigated. A graphics design model of switch bay is constructed and an efficient graphics design environment is provided with quickly designing a specialized graphics system for a substation. In order to generate a similar switch bay quickly, based on comparability theory, the "clone"method is proposed for the switch bay design, which can enhance the efficiency of graphics design. To the question of the diversity of substations and complexity of operation language generation, the generating characteristics of operating language are analyzed, and based on background knowledge of data mining technology, the innovative method adopting concept hierarchy and predicate proposition to describe the language is brought out, which realizes the prototype expression. The method abstracts the operation language by data generalization, which substitutes the higher hierarchy conceptions for lower ones and makes the generalized data more meaningful and more easily understood the constructing relations of switch bay. The dissertation has solved some important technology problems: (1) Switch bay modeling to solve rapidly construction of graphics system; (2) Matching of operation language; (3) Modeling of rule-based constraints. The paper adopts feature technology, data mining technology, Petri net technology, and artificial intelligence technology to solve the problems, and finds the basic approach and modeling method of developing such system. In a word, the solutions to the problem offer developing strategy and methods for realizing the system individualization, generalization, and intelligentization. Accordingly, they pave the way for a developer to deal with the software commercializing. The developed system has been identified accreditation and achieved the on-top level in domestic (the registration No.is 200054004); It won the third prize of science and technology advancement of Guangxi province; The method and technique was testified to be valid by the application to more than 30 different transformer substations.
