| Research backgroundDistinguished veteran doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine are the representative personages of highest development level of Traditional Chinese Medicine academic and clinic application.They are the models to combine TCM theory and the experience summed up by the predecessors of TCM with current clinical practice,and they are also the sources of innovative development of TCM academic.To carry out the work of inheriting the experience and the theory of the distinguished veteran doctors of TCM is not only an important way to improve current clinical level of TCM and to perfect the system of TCM,but also an important way to grow for the new talents of TCM.With the guidance of Doctor Zeng Binfang, this research,based on the work of inheriting the fifth group of the distinguished veteran doctors of TCM, is a comprehensive and systematical summary of Doctor Zeng’s academic theory and clinical experience.Doctor Zeng,who is famous all over the country,has been working on clinic teaching and scientific research of TCM for nearly 30 years and has achieved full success.Doctor Zeng values classic schools of Chinese Traditional Medicine highly and follows old adages of TCM while clinical diagnosing.He has learnt widely from other doctors’strong points, and has absorbed the rational factors from both TCM and western medicine source wisely.He is good at treating spleen gastric diseases and difficult miscellaneous diseases of internal medicine,especially at chronic atrophic gastritis in which he is experienced wit TCM therapy. He acquires his own characteristics in clinical diagnosis and obtains satisfactory effect.The writer of this thesis has been working with Doctor Zeng and always ready to learn from him since working for the master degree.The writer has learnt exquisite medicine skills from Doctor Zeng,who is always amiable to patients.The writer has been influenced greatly by Doctor Zeng who is the best example we should learn from.Purpose of the researchThis thesis is aimed at a comprehensive_and systematical summary of Doctor Zeng’s academic idea of TCM and clinical experience and understanding the core of TCM theory and applying it into clinical practice.Doctor Zeng’s idea and theory can be spread widely.We treat Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with modern scientific research methods and "the decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy "and explore the effectiveness and pharmacological action of the decoction.Research method1.We summarize Doctor Zeng’s academic idea source through interviewing patients and analysis of induction,and summarize his source of practice and his theory formation through introducing his life experience and study experience of medicine,his academic specialty as well as his book reviews.2.We collect Doctor Zeng’s materials of clinical diagnosis and curing the disease dialectically through copying his classical prescriptions,small lectures and ward rounds and gather his thesis and scientific research projects.We summarize his academic idea and his clinical experience.3.We observe the curative effect of the patients who are treated by "the decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy"through modern scientific research methods.The research is a Clinical randomized controlled trial.We divide 165 patients of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis into two groups at random.82 patients of the treatment group are treated by "the decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy ".And 83 patients of the control group are treated byStomach restoring pills.We compare the pre-therapy and post-treatment symptoms of the treatment group and control group, patients gastroscope pathological scores of pre-therapy and post-treatment, and their average gastroscope pathological scores.We compare the curative effect of the two therapeutic schedules.Research results1.Doctor Zeng has known classical TCM works very well, such as Treatise on Febrile Diseases,Synopsis of Golden Chamber, Treatise on Differentiation and Treatment of Epidemic Febrile Disease, which lay a solid foundation for his academic achievement, and has learnt from Doctor Zhang Xunbang, Doctor Liu Jizu, Doctor Zhou Minxin.Doctor Zeng has drawn on other TCM experts successful experience and improved his appreciation of TCM theory and clinical practice.Doctor Zeng has created his unique theory and clinical experience.2.We summarize three key points from the aspect of academic idea:(1) we attach great importance to strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors and aim to keep body in good condition. (2) We also pay attention to coordinating between the spleen and the stomach while treating chronic miscellaneous diseases. (3) We advocate the academic idea of combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, and the combination of western medicine Diagnosis and treatment and TCM Dialectical therapy.3. Doctor Zeng’s principle of TCM diagnosis and treatment is preventing the disease from deterioration, which characterizes his TCM treatment.4. We summarize Doctor Zeng’s clinical experience of treating acid regurgitation, fatty liver, Helicobacter pylori associated diseases, chronic dysentery, insomnia, cough and osphyalgia.5. The characters of Doctor Zeng’s treatment:he is good at using classical prescriptions, current prescriptions, and flexible with the application of all kinds of prescriptions according to the patients’ condition.6. Sum up the teacher experience, to achieve innovation.7. The curative effect of "the decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy ":(1) "The decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy "can improve the patients’ clinical symptoms of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis(2) "The decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy "can effectively stop the development of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis and reverse intestinal metaplasia and atypical hyperplasia.(3) The curative effect of the patients treated by "the decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy " is superior to that of control group.(4) The two groups are both examined by the security index with the pre-therapy and post-treatment, and nothing abnormal detected. "The decoction of strengthening body and stopping atrophy " can be applied into clinical practice safely.Research ConclusionDoctor Zeng has known the theory of Zhang Zhongjing very well and is versed in both ancient and modern TCM. He has learnt widely from other doctors’strong points, and has absorbed the rational factors from both TCM and western medicine source wisely.He is good at treating spleen gastric diseases and difficult miscellaneous diseases of internal medicine,especially at chronic atrophic gastritis in which he is experienced wit TCM therapy.He acquires his own characteristics in clinical diagnosis and obtains satisfactory effect. He always puts the priority on diagnosis and attaches great importance to the combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, and the combination of western medicine Diagnosis and treatment and TCM Dialectical therapy. We summarize Doctor Zeng’s academic theory and clinical experience and appreciate the essence of TEM so that we can improve our clinical skills and serve patients better and better.
