Objects: To observe the alteration of mRNA expression of TLR4 in human monocyte after stimulated by LPS. Methods: The mRNA expression of TLR4 in U937 cells at different time points after stimulated by LPS was detected by semi-quantitive RT-PCR. Results: The level of mRNA expression of TLR4 apparently increased in U937 cells after stimulated by LPS. Conclusion: LPS can stimulate human monocyte to express its receptor TLR4, which performs an important function in the activation of inflammatory cells induced by LPS.
