IntroductionAnti - phospholipid antibodes ( APL antibodies) is a group of antibodies reacted with many kinds of antigens having the structure of phospholipid. The family of anti - phospholipid antibodies includes anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) , anti - phosphatidic acid antibody ( aPA) , anti - phosphatidyl serine antibody ( aPS) , anti - phosphatidylethanolamine antibody ( aPE ) , anti - phosphatidyl-choline antibody ( aPC ) and anti - phosphatidylinositol antibody ( aPI). It has relationship with many diseases and is the main cause of antipospholipid syndrome characterized as venous and arterial thrombosis, thrombocytopenia and recurrent foetal loss. Antipospholipid syndrome has two types as primary and secondary. Systemic lupus erythematosus ( SLE) is the major cause of secondary antiphospholipid syndrome. It is reported that anti - phopholipid antibody mainly anticardolipin antibody was dectected positive in the serum of more than thirty -three percent patients with SLE. Panborn Mary identified that syphilis antibody bound to a kind of acidly phospholipid for the first time in 1941. MacFarlane and Gray demontrated the structure of cardiolipin in 1957. During the study of APL antibodies especially aLC increased after Harris EN detecting aLC by autoradio-graphy and found APL antibodies in many immune and non - immune diseases. However, the significance in these diseases is unclear. So we measured aLC, aPA, aPS, aPE, aPC, aPI antibodies in the serum of normal population, SLE, psoriasis and syphilis by ELISA in order to investigate its relationships with these diseases and its clinical significance.Materials and MethodsPatients Sera were collected from eighty - two health doners, thirty - two SUE patients, thirty - three psoriasis patients, sixteen syphilis patients with RPR dilution of 1:32, sixteen with 1:16 ,fifteen with 1:8,fifteen with 1:4 and fifteen with undiluting RPR positivr serum.Materials and ReagentsAntigens anticardiolipin (LC) , phosphatidic acid (PA) , phosphatidyl ser-ine (PS) ,phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) , phosphatidylcholine(PC) and phos-phatidylinositol (PI) were produced by Sigma.Peroxidase labled rabbit anti - human IgG and IgM antibodies. Methods The level of six APL antibodies in serum of all samples were assayed by ELISA. Blank and samples were measured double well. Positive was determined when OD value higher than the mean value of normal added three standard deviation ( SD) , OD value higher than the mean value of normal added five SD was determined as strong positive whereas morderate positive was determined when OD value was between the mean value of normal added two SD and five SD.ResultsDetection of six APL antibodies in the serum of normal people1. IgG; Five people were found positive with aCL and aPI,six with aPA and aPE,three e with aPS and aPC,the positive rate was 6.1% ,7.32% and 3. 66% respectively.2. IgM; Two people were found positive with aCL, three with aPA and aPC,five with aPS and aPE and four with aPI,the positive rate was 2.44% ,3. 66% ,6.1% and 4. 88% respectively.Detection of six APL antibodies in the serum of SLE1. IgG: The OD values of aCL, aPA, aPS, aPC, aPI were significantly higher than normal and the positive rate was 25% , 37.25% , 31. 25% ,34. 38% , 53. 13% , respectively. There was no significant difference with aPE and nobody was positive.2. IgM; Compared with normal, the OD values of aCL,aPA,aPS,aPE,aPE were significantly increased and the positive rate was 46. 88%, 46. 88% ,43. 75% .,31. 25% ,46. 88% , respectively. There was no significant difference with aPI and nobody was positive.3. The total positive rate of IgG APL in SLE was 68.75% , the highest was aPI with 53. 13% and two people with strong positive. The positive rate of IgG aPA was 37.5% and two people with strong positive, the positive rate of aPC was 34.38%. The total positive rate of IgM was 71. 88% ,the positive rate of IgM aCL,aPA and aPC was 46. 88% ,46. 88%46. 88% ,respectively, the strong positive people was eight, five and...
