| Objective The clarification of the effect of a-MSH in human CMM cell apoptosis and in growth, invasion and metastasis of CMM. Methods Apoptotic condition of CMM cell after treated with a-MSH and the expression of some apoptosis gene were detected. Prepare bearing cancer model of athymic mice, growth invasion and metastatic of CMM treated with a-MSH were observed, apoptotic condition of CMM cell was detected.Results Apoptotic rate of CMM cell increased along with action time prolonged through a-MSH, the growth velocity of bearing cancer lowered after treated with a-MSH and the rate of invasion and metastatic decreased.Conclusion a-MSH can induce CMM cell apoptosis and inhibite growth invasion and metastatic of CMM.
