| Objective :To investigate the early effect of firearm perforating wound to vertebral body caused by different velocity bullet and the mechanisms of the early stage of secondary events in GSI to spine. Methods: To establish a pig's L2 vertaberal body gunshot injury model,The reaction of pigs,the injuried section of spinal cord and characteristics of veterbal fracture were observed with sero-enzymology, haemodynamics, immunohistochemical methods, etc and CT, MRI. Results : There were significantly differences in the reactions of pigs and the expression of ferritin, nNOS, caspase-3, TUNEL-positive cells in the 2 groups after GSI to spine.Conclusion:The bullets velocity is one of the most important determinant of tissue wounding; CT and MRI paly an important role in the judgement of spinal stability and the evaluation of spinal cord injury. FE,nNOS and caspase-3 play an important role in the early stage of secondary events in GSI to spine. |
