Primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the malignant tumors with both high prevalence and death rates in the world. Compared with other countries, especially in Western countries, the HCC mortality is the highest in China. Despite of increased understanding of HCC mechanism and improved therapeutic methods, further investigations and more breakthroughs are still necessary. To date, there have not been research reports on the function of Apmcfl gene.In previous studies, we cloned the open reading frame sequence of Apmcfl, and constructed the prokaryotic expression vector for Apmcfl. After successful expression of Apmcfl protein, anti-Apmcf1 polyclonal antibodies were achieved and the sensitivity and specificity of them were confirmed. Thereafter, the antibodies immobilized onto multiple tissue microarrays were used to detect Apmcfl expression, and it was found that Apmcfl may be expressed in many kinds of tumor and normal tissues. It was further found that the rates of positive Apmcfl expression...
