To date, the etiology of breast cancer is unclear, but it is well accepted that interaction of environmental factors and genetic factors may contribute to the etiology of breast cancer. Epidemiological, clinical and genetic studies have identified that many social and biological factors may increase the risk of breast cancer, such as the level of estrogen in vivo or time of estrogen exposure. Some studies have focused on the association between physiological or reproductive factors and breast cancer risk, however, the results were inconsistent due to different sample size or different economic condition. Other studies in Caucasian population found that endogenous sex hormone and ER and PR were associated with breast cancer. As for the level of sex hormone is lower in Chinese population, it is essential to investigate the association between endogenous sex hormone and ER and PR and the risk of breast cancer in China. Different people have different susceptibility to exposure, which... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | breast cancer, case-control study, menstrual and reproductive factors, logistic regression, estradiol, testosterone, interactionp, XRCC1, ADPRT, genetic polymorphism, breast cancer, case-control study, TYMS | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
