BackgroundIschemic cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality in the industrialized world and become the major threatening in the developing countries. The nationwide surveys conducted in 2000-2001 (ASIA) demonstrates that the morbidity rate of myocardial infarction was 0.7% for male and 0.5% for female and the survival case was about 1.741 million for male and 1.226 million for female respectively in china from 25-74 years old. The effective revascularization methods such as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and transmyocardial laser revascularization (TMLR) improve the survival rate and quality of life. However, there are lots of contraindications in terms of complexity and risk of operation process and expensive operation expense, is limited role as for diffuse and multivessel-disease atherosclerotic. Therefore, an attractive revascularization strategy is demanded.
