Background: Lead is well recognized as an environmental and occupational pollutant and chronic lead nephropathy remains the secondly cause of mortality in occupational people. Early or acute nephropathy is reversible, but chronic lead nephropathy with progressive interstitial fibrosis, a reduction in the glomerular filtration rate, and azothemia is irreversible. However, there is little detailed description of the mechanism of lead nephropathy in our country. In foreigns a large number of studies have focused on the relationship of renal insufficient and Lead-binding proteins and lead inclusion bodies, but the molecular mechanism underlying lead induced renal fibrosis is unknown until recently.Objective: Investigate expression of correlation factor of renal fibrosis Nuclear Factor- κ B (NF-κB), Transforming Growth Factor(TGF- β ) , Interferon-γ(IFN-γ) and Fibronectin(FN) in rats exposed lead at molecular levels.Method: The experiment was performed with 48 Sprague-Dawley...
