Objective:Interleukin is a group of cytokine which originates from active T lymphoid cells produced by the binding of antigen-presenting cells(APCs) and their receptors of T cells. It has been proved that Interleukin has important effects on immunity, the regulation on inflammation, and on the development, proliferation of immunological cells.Interleukin 27(IL-27) a new member of the IL-12 cytokine family. It is a heterodimer comprising EBI3 and p28. IL-27 is produced by activated APCs and induces proliferation of na?ve CD4+T cells and induces IFN-γproduction. Moreover, IL-27 synergises with IL-12 to induce IFN-γproduction in na?ve CD4+T cells, as well as enhances IFN-γproduction by natural killer cells.Human and mouse IL-27 genes have been cloned, but no pig IL-27 gene has ever been reported. In this study, the pig IL-27p28 gene was cloned molecular cloning. The gene characterizations, protein translation, differences from other species and protein function were also analyzed by...
