Studies On The Effects Of Minocycline In The Rat Model Of Diabetic Retinopathy

Objectives:To establish type1 and 2 diabetes mellitus animal model . To investgate rat retinal gene and protein expression of cyclo-oxygenase-2 ( COX-2 ) in diabetes mellitus model , minocycline treated and normal control subjects. Ensure the optimal concentration and time of minocycline. Expression of interleukin-lbeta( IL-1β ) , tumor necrosis factor alpha ( TNF- α ), inducible nitric oxide synthase ( iNOS ) in rat retina were studied in diabetes mellitus model, minocycline treated and normal control rats.Methods:After Wistar rats were administrated with high fat emulsion 10 d, we recorded the changes of the diets, drinking and body weight every day, assessed the insulin resistance by using hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp technique and blood capillary method, blood serum fasting blood glucose, free fatty acid( FFA )and malondialdehydeto( MDA ).
