Material of bone xenograft could be applied in clinic for treatment of fracture nonunion and defect. Compared with other kinds of bone transplantation materials, xenogeneic bone transplantation usually causes serious immune respone because of its low biological compatibility and strong antigenicity. In recent years, many theoretical and practical researches in the field of transplantation immunology have been done, but there are still many unsolved problems which clinical application of material of bone xenograft is facing. For instance, how about local immunity in the area of bone xenograft? How to measure the local immunity? How to reduce theantigenicity of material of bone xenograft while not destoring its ability of repairing bone defect?Interleukin-1α(IL-1α), IL-6, IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) are multi-functional cytokines in systemic immunity and local immunity. In immune reaction of transplantation these cytokines play important roles. Recent researches have suggested a strong correlation between presence of these cytokines and post-transplantation rejection. Level of expression of these cytokines implies degree of...
