72 cats were used in the present research work. The Nissl and Golgi staining methods, immunohistochemistry technique,HRP transganglionic tracing technique, ricin transganglionic degeneration technique light and electron microscopy technique were used to investigate the dorsal commissure nucleus (DCN) of the sacral spinal cord of cat.The results were as follows,1. The cytoarchitecture of DCNA morphologically specific nucleus could be identified in the medial part of the lamina VI of dorsal horn , which was at the lumbar cord level, beside the dorsal funiculus. The nucleus had a semi lunar shape. The nucleus gradually moved toward the aidline of the dorsal gray commissure in the ventromedial direction as the dorsal gray commissure enlarged at the segments S1—2 and two ellipsoid nuclei was formed at the two sides of the aidline. A large triangular nucleus was gradually formed by the fusion of the two nuclei at S3-Co1 with its bottom near spinal central cannal and its tip towards the dorsal funiculus. The main... |
