Research backgroundRhytidectomy is a prevail operation because of its rapid facial rejuvenation. However, hair loss attracts most plastic surgeons and patients'concern because of its impact on appearance and psychology. So that it is our experimental focus to explore the related causes and mechanism of hair loss after rhytidectomy.A part of scalp is excised necessarily in order to lift facial soft tissue and to improve wrinkle during rhytidectomy. This can conceal incision. The volume of skin removed is a main factor to increase tension around wound.Whether this kind tension contribute to hair loss and which kind of impact on hair follicle had not been reported so far.In order to meet the increased nutritional needs of hair follicles during the anagen phase of rapid cell division, angiogenesis properties of hair follicle and vascularization of skin are important. At present it is found that hair loss after rhytidectomy is related to reduced blood supply while the reason and exact mechanism are still unknown.Although we innovate surgical techniques to improve hair loss after rhytidectomy ,the result was not satisfaction. So that we think it necessary to explore deeper mechanism of hair loss. ObjectiveThe experiment investigate correlation between hair loss and blood vessels around hair follicle,VEGF, and incisional tension in order to find crucial factors leading to hair loss and related mechanism. This may provide theoretic reference for prevention of hair loss after rhytidectomy. Method Experiment one: Impact of tension on hair follicle of animal...
