| ObjectiveCholangiocarcinoma is of high malignancy. It makes hard work for surgery to accomplish radical cure, but to relieve biliary tract obstruction , which makes chemotherapy an important part of the combined therapy. No effective drugs for chemotherapy appear until now, and a main reason for the failure of chemotherapy is the drug resistance of tumor cells. The orientation of many researches focus on how to improve the efficacy of chemotherapeutics. Thermotherapy which synergies with chemotherapy, will enhance chemotherapy in the molecular level and improve the sensitivity of chemotherapeutics on the tumor cells. With the improvement of interventional therapy, the combination of thermotherapy and chemotherapy come possible, which is called intervention of thermo-chemotherapy. Further research is needed on the synergism of temperature and drug in the thermochemotherapy of cholangiocarcinoma.The application of thermochemotherapy in cholangiocarcinoma is rare, and a lot of problems remain on the method of heating, the determination of temperature and its curative effect. The chemotherapy in biliary tract was realized in biliary tract stenosis intervention for drainage and tract dilation. However, few researches are on the feasibility of heat per-fusion.
