Virus receptors play an important role in the early stage of viral infection by determining host spectrum and tisssue tropism in a considerable degree and influence viral pathogenesis. The isolation and extraction of virus receptors will benifit greatly from understanding of their fine structure and other features. The study on virus receptors will provide a novel approach to the development of anti-virus agents used in both prophylaxis and therapy. In the study presented here, we have developed several methods to detect the activity and preliminary characteristics of Japanese encephalitis virus receptor (JEVR) . And also we had attempted to extract JEVR by different approaches. The purified extractive was shown to have receptor activities.Immunocellulochemistry ( ICC) of C6/36 cell culture inoculated with JEV revealed the positive cells stained brown color suggesting the adhesion of JEV to the cell surface, which was confirmed by microscopy. Our observations indicated that there are receptors for JEVs on the C6/36...
