The Protective Effect Of Tongluo Recipe On Diabetic Nephropathy And Its Mechanism Study

Objective:ECD plays an important role in the pathophysiology of diabetic nephropathy. Study showed TLR ameliorate ECD in human and animal models. Methods:Diabetic male SD rats, induced by STZ(65mg/kg),were administrated with TLR(1g/kg) or ALA(100mg/kg) for 12 weeks. Results:TLR improve renal function, reduced the area of glomerular mesangium and the expression of typeâ…£collagen in diabetic rats. TLR lowered the number of glomerular endothelial cells and the expression of VEGF, flk-1 and Ang-2 in diabetic rats. TLR also decreased the expression of AGEs and RAGE, increased the level of NO and eNOS, inhibited the increasion of MDA and O^2- in the renal cortex of diabetic rats. Conclusion:TLR inhibited the progression of diabetic nephropathy through reducing the increased level of AGEs and improving renal glomerular endothelial cells function in diabetic rats.
