As a large rhythm landform, Tidal-Basin System has its own independency on Geomorphology, Sedimentary, Hydrodynamics. So the evolution of the tidal-basin is a reduction of the whole tidal flat, which changes and evolution can provide important evidence for the whole Radiating Sandbanks. The area of Tiaozini Sandbanks locating hi the intertidal zone is very large, which has special geomorphology characters not only from East to West parallel to bank but also from South to North vertical to bank. Through field investigation on Tiaozini Sandbanks including sampling sediment on the tidal flat, measuring hydrology and mud of the tidal creek, surveying profile elevation, combined with literature data and Remote Sensing photographs from 1973 to 2000, we study the geomorphology characters, sedimentary characters and its recent stability of the Tidal-Basin System on Tiaozini Sandbanks.The basal geomorphology structure of the Tidal-Basin System of the Tiaozini Sandbanks is watershed and tidal creek system. We analyses its formation, evolvement, geomorphology characters and development and discusses the main influence factors which is water, sediment and space. We divide the evolution phases which is formation phase, autumn phase and contabescence phase. In the end we confirms its main functions, which is discharging the folium water on the tidal flat of the Tidal-Basin in the end of the ebb-tide, transporting sediment to Tidal-Basin through tidal creek systems, confining the swing range of the dynamical axis of flood tide or ebb tide, balancing the dynamical status of the South and North. At the same time, we compare coastal tidal-basin and sandbanks tidal-basin on geomorphology characters, formation causes, style and so on.We chooses Shishenggang Tidal-Basin as emphases study area and researches its sediment characters. Three profiles is chosen which located on peak ridge, side ridges and from peak ridge to central basin separately. Through granularity analysis of the sediment, we find its sedimental characters that sediment becomes thick from ridge to tidal creek. Three hydrodynamics survey station is disposed along the Shishenggang3-Henggang. Through surveying its dynamic process, it shows that hydrodynamic is weaker from mouth to ridge. So the analysis results of the sediment granularity and hydrodynamic survey is uniform. At the same time, through sustainable survey of two profiles from 1999 to 2001, we find the Tidal-Basin has seasonal changes, which behaves the seasonal change of the tidal flat elevation and the seasonal movement of the eroded zone.Contrast the Remote Sensing photographs from 1973 to 2000, we find the recent development of the main Tidal-Basin System and the movement characters of the main tidal creeks. On this basis, we discusses the main factors which affects the evolution of the Tidal-Basin System.
