Using the current safety monitoring system, can only get the air amount of roadway placed transducer, as this change is caused by the failure of the section of roadway, or other roadway, fault source is one point or more, which are belong to the problem of ventilation system fault source diagnosis.Ventilation system fault can be attributed to the change of the branch drag from the entire network. If the changes of air drag for each branch on ventilation system are analyzed, that is impossible of placing air velocity transducers in every branch. So the problem of the minimum quantities and location for placing air velocity transducer should be mainly studied. The issure of fault diagnosis is more researched by domestic and international experts, but most of them belong to fault diagnosis of equipment, fault diagnosis of mine ventilation system is little researched. "Research for intelligent diagnosis system of mine ventilation system based on simulation" is based on the National Natural Foundation of China (60772159).The man-made priority, sensitivity ranking and method of placing air velocity transducer to diagonal structure are proposed for the issue of placing air velocity transducer. Unary linear regression equation between measured value of air velocity transducer and average air velocity is established by experimental data, and the effect has been evaluated. Three methods have been proposed to build fault roadway range library of ventilation network, which can reflect the change relationship between the air quantity of the branch and air drag of the relevant branches, which are used to determine fault roadway range causing air velocity exceed the limit. And these are compared and analyzed. One macro method of setting the air velocity transducer– minimum and full coverage of distribution method has been proposed, the concept of branch coverage degree and impact roadway range library have been given. The fault of mine ventilation system is analyzed through the method of establishing fault tree analysis, and classified processing. And the narrow fault roadway range has been finally carried on fault sources reasoning analysis. It has been done the industrial testing in Daming, the feasibility of fault diagnosis techniques and methods are been validated, and the program of setting air velocity transducer has been made, which has important significance to the mine ventilation system.
