With manufacturing in the 21st century changing more rapidly than ever, time-to-market has been taken as one of the most important advantage in competition. Nowadays, manufacturing enterprises worldwide have come to an agreement that open architecture controllers should be set up. Open architecture controllers are inexorable trend for numeric control and it can benefit CNC manufacturers, machining tool manufacturers and users. Advanced countries are researching open architecture controllers in full swing. To remain invincible in competition, NC industry in our country not only labors for research, but also must be far-sighted. At present, domestic CNC systems rest on a relative lower level. Researches for architecture of CNC system are still concentrated on specific controllers. The goal of our research is to shorten gap in this area. Architecture of open architecture controllers and key technique for implementation are presented in this dissertation.1.By analyzing current architectures of open architecture controllers and borrowing ideas from architecture in IT technology, we set up a new architecture-Component Architecture Controller. Broad applicability of CAC in a progressively open manufacturing environment is discussed.2.Technique for implementing key components of CAC is introduced. Open NC code translation algorithm and open interpolation algorithm are presented. We bring forward a new concept of abstract motion platform and its component implementation is introduced.S.Based on research for property of spiral curve, optimal bi-arc approximation of spiral curves and an approximate error estimation algorithm characterized with high efficiency are obtained.4.Based on research for NC machining simulation and verification, we introduce a new approach-swept volume equation(SAE), which transfers calculation of swept volume into solution of an algebraic equation, and thus calculation of swept volume of revolving solid is settled. Surface normal vector technique is used to setup geometry models for blanks. Combined it with S AE, we implement algorithm for NC machining simulation and Verification.5.We worked out YH-1 ultra-precision machining tool CNC software, which is characterized with high resolution, short interpolation period and optics universal equation interpolation. Machining experiment are done and resulted are analyzed.
