The investigation on flameless combustion technologies is reviewed in this thesis, and a novel flameless combustion is developed by normal temperature air. The mechanism of Normal Temperature Air Flameless Combustion is well researched with experiments and simulations. In addition, this technology is successfully applied to the project of reconstructing boiler from coal-burning to gas-burning with approving effect.Normal Temperature Air Flameless Combustion is studied in industrial-scale stirred reactor. Relying on the specific structure of burner and the mixing of gases, the pattern of flameless combustion are realized. Different from traditional diffusion flame and premixed flame, there is no visible flame in Normal Temperature Air Flameless Combustion, and the reaction occurs simultaneously in a wide and broad area, and nearly in the whole hearth.The reaction area of Normal Temperature Air Flameless Combustion is simulated employing commercial software FLUENT.
