| Nausea and vomit is one of the most familiar side-effect after chemotherapy, which result in the extensive appliance limiting of chemotherapy medicament. Therefore, the controlling of nausea and vomit is difficult problem which physicians must settle. The antagonist 5-HT3 R in modern medicine such as ondensetron hydrochloride is of no effect to delayed vomit. They are costliness and the security is worrying. It has not been come into being to the comparatively mature theory system of preventing and curing chemotherapy-vomit in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). The animal experiment study is almost blank and the mechanism is unable to go deep into discussion. The superiority of TCM itself has not been brought into play in preventing and curing delayed vomit.Basing on the study actuality of vomit due to chemotherapy, the professor Lishimao have created the pathologic theory of Fire and Heat smouldering inside body (FHSIB) after chemotherapy, according to personal long-term clinic experience, combining with modem medicine pathologic mechanism of chemotherapy-vomit and current TCM document study. The curing principle should give priority to driving away evil and the curing method should clear and exhale fire and heat(CEFH). The famous prescription LianSuTin ( made of Coptis Root and Perilla Leaf) has been used to treat chemotherapy-vomit, which has acquired favorable curative effect. This subject aims to discuss the theory and studys the mechanism deeply, which will be beneficial to clinic and drug-exploitation. This paper is made of three part:The first part is document summary. Only by study ancient and modem documents and assimilate their marrow and pick up their shortage, should the breakthrough point be found , should innovation and advancement be obtained.The second part is experimental research. We researched with the antiemetic capsule of LianSu, which was applied to discussed the modern pharmacological mechanism of the theory of FHSIB and CEFH deeply. We adopted the dog vomiting model by Levodopa and the pigeon vomiting model by bluestone and so on, then observed the vomiting times and delitescence,the frequency and range of gastrointestinal motility and the stomach empty. The result showed: The capsule can obviously decrease the vomiting times and delay the vomiting delitescence (P<0.05,P<0.01 ) . It can also increase the frequency and range of the rabbits'gastrointestinal motility and improve the big rats' stomach empty rate (P<0.05,P<0.01) . The capsule has strong and wide the function of restraining bacteria. In order to carry through chemotherapy-vomit experimental research successfully, we improved the pigeon's vomiting model by Cisplatin. The outstanding point lies in changing the injecting method by the vein of pigeon's wing base into by pigeon's abdomen. Basing on the model, we observed the vomiting times and delitescence, detected gastrointestinal hormones and neurotransmitters by radioimmunoassay and by HPLC-ED. At the same time, we made gastrointestinal mucous membrane common pathology and immunohistochemistry pathology of the 5-HTR . The results showed: The HgL can obviousluy increase the level of EGF in the blood( P<0.05 ) . The LwL and HgL can obviously increase the level of GAS in the blood (P<0.05, P<0.01 ). The HgL can obviously reduce the level of VIP in the blood (P<0.05 ). In brainstem there has a great difference between the antiemetic capsule of Liansu and the model group( P<0.05,P<0.01 ) , in duodenum there has not a obvious different. It showed that the antiemetic capsule of Liansu can protect the gastrointestines mucous membrane and improve the gastrointestinal motility. The antiemetic capsule of Liansu is not only the antagonist 5-HTR, but the antagonist DAR. The common pathology of duodenum showed: all of them had been improved as for the wavilness of chorion floor and hemorrhage in flesh and effusion (leucocyte mostly) of floss surface caused by Cisplatin.
