| Discogenic low back pain is popular and recurrent disease. Owing to lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration, it maybe appear low back pain and (or) sciatica. LBP could result in human activity dysfunction so that it bring out disasters. Clinical observation and experiments were preformed to evaluate its treatment profile and possible mechanisms in the study.In clinical research, 60 involved Lumbar intervertebral disc pr olapse were randomly divided into non-operative group and operative group. Non-operative method, or combination method, include rest in bed, traction, medicine. Symptom and sign were observed in four-week duration. According to clinical curative effect observed blank and Japan scores, results were evaluated. Results showed that there were clinical merits in carrying two methods. the general effectiveness rate is 90%. There had no difference between two groups.Our experiment observed the effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza in treating rabbits degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc. Disc cells and the expression of bFGF, TGF-βwere examined. The results showed that disc living cells in Salvia miltiorrhiza treated group were more than no treated group. But two groups were significantly less than contrast group. the expression of bFGF, TGF-βalso indicated same result. The study shows that Salvia miltiorrhiza could postpone lumbar interverbral disc degeneration. It is possible mechanisms that Salvia miltiorrhiza could improve tissue micro-circulation, lighten blood stasis and regulate immune response. |
