BackgroundAtherosclerosis is one of the common diseases which greatly impact human health. Atherogenesis mechanism is constantly studied by cardiovascular scholar. As all know, atherosclerosis is a kind of disease which is caused by many factors, including gene, environment, metabolism and many other factors. Inflammation has a significant role on atherogenesis ,it can influence atherosclerosis occurrence , development and its succession. Inflammatory reaction involves in the whole process of atherogenesis, such as atherosclerosis onset, progression, plaque rupture and thrombogenesis. Another important factor which influences atherosclerosis occurrence, development and plaque stability is angiogenesis in the AS plaque. Angiogenesis in the AS plaque is an important cause which leads to atherogenesis. The degree of angiogenesis in AS plaque is correlated with atherosclerotic severity, and the density of new vessel in the plaque is positively correlated with the stenosis degree of the artery lumen. Angiogenesis in the plaque is also connected with the plaque stability.Thrombogenesis, atherogenesis and angiogenesis is named as a new 'vascular triad' in vascular diseases. Accordingly, it...
