The understanding of an pulse tracings is based on thedoctor's feeling when he touching the pulse and it combined of the doctor's understanding ofthe concept of the pulse diagnosis in the clinic pulse diagnosis.The concept of pulse diagnosisis more general, and the distinguish standers is blur. Data acquisition apparatus have developed from single probe to multiprobe, evenarray probe, data analysis methods include time domain analysis, frequency domainanalysis,wavelet transformation,and so on. All the electro-pulsographs, weather single probe orarray probe, adopt special data analysis according to certain point's vibration. The investigationindicates this kind of data acquisition which cann' t reproduce the pulse. In order to draw thepulse correctly, it is necessary in changing data acquisition methods and data acquisitionmethods.According as comparing the pulse tracings of the same point, detecting for the singlepoint by the pulse tracings,and it is reproducible under the static appearance. It changesdistinctly, when choosing one single point newly. For the detection of the same pulse area, thepulse tracings of the dissimilar points are very different evidently. The pulse research must obeythe viewpoint of the sphygmology in TCM. Based on systematically analyzing pulse tracingscharacteristics in TCM of ancient times, we proposed "Whole-Dynamic state" describingcharacteristic on pulse tracings; meanwhile combining the research of objectivizing pulsetracings in modern times, utilizing the technology of computer, digital signalprocessing, standard bus and software engineering method,we presented a project of anew-style all-round electro-pulsograph based on pulse tracings characteristics in TCM ofancient times. In this project,pulse sensors gathering pulse signals from all-round wereused, drawing whole pulse-pulse body space-time complex chart, and it can reflect pulsebody, pulse stream and pulse-length. Whole pulse-pulse potential space-time complex chartwas drawn to reflect pulse-width, pulse body, pulse stream and pulse-power. Whole pulse-pulsestream space-time complex chart was drawn to reflect pulse stream, pulse-length andpulse-width etc.These charts can exactly reflect the whole-dynamic state variance ofpulse, and make sure that the "location, velocity, shape and potential" of pulse can be exactlyembodied.
