Researches have shown that inflammation plays a key role in coronary artery disease and other manifestations of atherosclerosis.Immune cells dominate early atherosclerotic lesions,their effector molecules accelerate progression of the lesions and activation of inflammation can elicit acute coronary syndromes.Garlic and ginseng are plant-based phytomedicines with the therapeutic activity against infections and with anti-cancer and anti-thrombotic properties.In addition,there is a wide-spread belief that garlic and ginseng prolongs life by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol level and consequently heart attacks.In this study,we hypothesized that garlic extract SACS and ginseng extract gensenoside Rb1 may reduce TNF-α-induced cell adhesion by inhibiting superoxide anion production in human endothelial cells,which in turn slow down or even prevent the formation of atheroma. The data from this study may help us further understand the pharmacological effects of Rb1 and also may suggest a new therapeutic candidate to control inflammation related plaque formation and atherosclerosis.The past few years have seen an explosion in the number of detected RNA transcripts with no apparent protein-coding potential.This has led to speculation that non-protein-coding RNAs (ncRNAs)might be as important as proteins in the regulation of vital cellular functions.However, there has been significantly less progress in actually demonstrating the functions of these transcripts.In our study,we confirmed two different stable cell lines(NRON overexpression and shRNA interference)expression in HUVECs.In function analysis,we tested cell proliferations of two stable cell lines using MTS method to verify the overexpression and shRNA interference function of NRON to normal HUVECs.After MTS tests,we drew the conclusion that FBS and VEGF can increase the two different stable cells proliferations in a dose and time dependent manner.NRON overexpression can block the stable cell lines proliferations caused by FBS and VEGF treatment.And shRNA infererence of NRON can increase the cells proliferations compared with pBABE empty vectors,pSuper empty vectors and normal HUVEC cells as control.We also tested tube formation function of two stable cell lines,as well as migration function.NRON overexpression stable cell lines decreased the tube formation and migration functions,and shRNA infererence of NRON can increase the tube formation and migration functions,as compared with pBABE empty vectors,pSuper empty vectors and normal HUVEC cells as control.
