A Study On The Relations Between The Mainland Immigrants And The Ancient Japanese Crown

The immigrants from Chinese mainland and that in the Korean peninsula contributed valuable material and spiritual civilization for the formation of ancient Japanese nation, especially they directed a profound impact on the maturity of ancient Japanese scepter through their devotion to the characters and literature.As one of the important elements of East Asian cultural circle, the character bridged between mainland immigrants and the ancient Japanese monarchy. Meanwhile, the Chinese immigrants, who served as an important carrier of the character, were also a significant bond amidst China, the Korean Peninsula and Japanese archipelagos. Analyzing the relation between Chinese immigrants and ancient Japanese scepter through literature and characters will be beneficial to understanding the impact given by Chinese immigrants in the development of ancient Japanese scepter, as well as the function and role exercised by Chinese immigrants in the formation of the Ancient East Asian International society.Though there have been many studies on Chinese immigrants in Japan, no researches on the relationship between immigrants and the ancient Japanese scepter. From interdisciplinary history, this article has researched ancient Japanese character and literature, described the formation ancient Japanese scepter, the changes of social status of ancient mainland immigrants in the formation of ancient Japanese nation and ancient Japanese scepter development. Based on ancient Chinese and Japanese historical records, archaeological material evidence, this article has discussed Chinese immigrants'contributions to the formation of ancient Japanese character and literature, and their relationship with the formation of ancient Japanese scepter.This article contains six chapters. The preface summarizes the precedent studies and points, and clarifies the research methods and objectives. In the second chapter, which possesses the Japanese archipelagos as a clue, focuses on the ancient Chinese immigrants, our ancestors-"the first Chinese immigrants" who used characters but influenced in the external aspect to assist royalty to accept foreign characters, as well as their entry into the Japanese archipelago where they worked as the auxiliaries during the process of original royal foundation and control and the communication with ancient Chinese feudal dynasties. In the third chapter having the Japanese archipelago's turning point and development of characters'appearance as the clue, discusses the negotiations between the Korean Peninsula and China, pointing out that the ancient Chinese immigrants at that time became rare human resources so that by the ancient Japanese royalty would like to compete by force. Furthermore, thanks to the effective use of mainland immigrants, ancient Japan made considerable progress in home and abroad. In the meantime, with the help of Chinese immigrants the Japanese archipelago also produced the original characters. During this process, the islands gradually became unified; original throne transited to the central power, and eventually formed the ruling system with ancient Japanese royalty as its core. In the fourth chapter, keeping mysterious Nanbolu Song's set-up and change as the track, discusses the change of the mode which ancient Japanese throne made use of Chinese immigrants. The change reflects the independence of ancient Japanese imperial power has been strengthened while the freedom of the ancient Chinese immigrants receded. With the change of ancient Japanese rulers towards the political philosophy, Chinese characters and literature were begun to be exploited by Japanese government. However, all these became the tool with which Japanese throne advocated their ruling over their own nation and three sovereign States in North Korea. In the fifth chapter, based on the detailed research that "Manyoshu" is the work dependent on Chinese immigrants, with the clue of the features of the ancient verse and the so-called "Old Song Movement" revolving around Chinese immigrants, elaborates that they were pushed aside by native Japanese clans and strayed away from the ancient Japanese crown. Although Chinese immigrants desired to seek certain help, the strength and power were not strong as before, as they have lost their language and literature ability, even the advantages of technical production at that time. They arrived a failure even though they had tried. As Japan entered into peaceful period, Chinese immigrants, who once created numerous brilliance in Japanese history, eventually disappeared. The final chapter concludes the relations between Chinese immigrants and the ancient Japanese crown on the basis of literature and characters, indicating the far-reaching significance of the mainland immigration and the related characters and literature, the relationship between Chinese immigrants and the ancient Japanese scepter, in ancient Japanese history.
