The American composer, Corigliano, lives in the twentieth century, when the composition diversity, including the style variety, technique diversity, ideology compatibility, concept uniqueness, converges and forms into a kind of free artistic landscape and contemporary outlook. The personalized musical words prevail in this period; in the same time, business, ethnic, traditional and other compositional features are gradually transferring toward the international and world-wide direction.Corigliano becomes one of the leaders in the contemporary music with his unique compositional ideas and techniques and enjoys a high reputation around the world. His works focus on avoiding the clear writing style and the specific norms deriving from that style; thus, his creation in the chamber music genre, type, form, technique, style, and so forth, reflects a single, heterogeneous and homogeneous feature, a feature of unity of opposites. Based on this feature, this paper does not use a single analysis pattern to evaluate his works, but adopt multiple perspectives, combining the comprehensive research and case analysis, technology exploration and concept interpretation, to analyze Corigliano's fifteen forty-year-old(1963-2003) ministry chamber music works.The main body of this paper can be divided into five parts:First of all, based on the attitude of judging people in his times, this paper summarizes Corigliano and his main works, briefly analyzing his comprehensive writing style and pointing out the stage of the chamber music creation and the reason of this genre study choice.Secondly, with the technical analysis and theoretical interpretation of pitch materials structure, this paper aims to explain how numerous technology means in Corigliano's works mutual polymerize and integrate into a new structure pattern, thus presents overall music form with inter-organizational compatible resilience, moderate and impartial creative characteristics, thus realizing the composer's creation concept and daily activities.Third, for the "Fanfare to Music" case analysis, the paper is based on technical anthologies and musicology from the Angle scale form, harmonic acoustics, rhythm topics, and their organization, mutual conversion, and integral unity, analyzing the structure and function of scale step of Blues movable concept. Hence, the moveable concept can not only make combination of common music wring tradition, folk music essence, and Black Country music in the "Fanfare to Music", but also show the tradition and contemporary, the past and present eclectic practice traits in the process of tracking past and predicting future. Fourth, from the features of research in writing mode and fantasy theme, people can see: on one hand, Corigliano will not show a complete duplication or overall grafting of the quote theme, but rebuild, internalize, and integrate the theme to a certain extent, achieving the purpose of changing its form, keeping its essence, and developing its artistic regeneration; On the other hand, Corigliano still shows composer's individual, arbitrary, unintuitive, and abstract combination of traditional fantasia style and the composer's personalized art creation characteristic.Fifth, the paper analyzes Corigliano's two representative chamber works through developing the modal techniques, harmonic techniques, and image structures of three levels; some of these characteristics are in accordance with the formation of echoes and complementary structural arrangement, laying the technical and effective protection of Corigliano's comprehensive summary of the writing style.Corigliano's creation does not reject the traditional forms and techniques in music, but it also synthesizes other art categories, such as drama, dance, movies, from classical style to modern, making his Chamber Music works present different styles, arts, and techniques, and integrating of the three pillars of the structure and intertwined writing manners. With his extraordinary artist insights, Corigliano captures and grasps times characteristics and people's livelihood, focusing on reality with the most acute questioned and criticized ways and unique expressions to transmit the voice of the whole society and humans. Therefore, Corigliano can break through the traditional art limitation and find a balance between business and college, mass and elite, tradition and contemporary, obtaining a brilliant but self-esteemed achievement.
