On Ingarden's Literary Ontology Thoughts

Ingarden's study on literary ontology is affected by Husserl's phenomenological aesthetics. He focused on intention analysis of the literary works of art, and as a preliminary solution to argument of "idealism - realism" .The basic point of Ingarden's literary ontology is study on the existence of literary works, that is the ontological position of works. He concerned on the relationship between specific literary phenomenon and general existence problem, and make unity of ontology and epistemology in the study on existence of literary works. This paper attempts to reveal Ingarden's literary ontology thoughts from four perspectives: literary work's "constitute" realm, literary work's "regional" existence, literary work's aesthetic experience phenomenon, literary work's aesthetic value systems, then explore possibilities of intersection and communication between literary work's "ontology" and "intention" within theoretical system of Ingarden's phenomenological aesthetics.Ingarden's aesthetics research based on the ontology study of literary work's text. He tried to establish innovative delamination structure mode through description and analyse of universal intuition, by what can realize newly application of phenomenology theory and method. He pay attention to the heterogeneity in differentiation of every stratum's language phenomena but neglect the meaning; He display the dynamic character of structure but cannot extend in theory; He restrict the research object to inside of written works but cannot ignore the author's intention in xenial; He make the author's life experience opposed to realistic world,the antinomy of his standpoint bring difficulty to justify himself, which also reveal the theory puzzledom of phenomenology when they dissever the connection between xenial and realistic world. Ingarden's structure ideal of literary work's text based on Husserl's intentionality constitution theory. He bring mutual-intention xenial phenomenon into relevancy field between"primal-structure"and"intention-structure", but follow epistemology principle of"focus on subject"radically; He show mutual-intention xenial action in tension field between"intention-structure"and language symbol system, but can't avoid subject tendency of"address to author's intention". Ingarden emphasize consonance between subject and object but dissever the connection between xenial and realistic world, he try to solve the ultimate problem of literary ontology's existence and cognition within subject, the ideal itself can never be actualized.Ingarden constructed literary ontology exists on the area to formal structural problems in the form of pure consciousness as a precondition to explore. He pays attention to distinguish between the real world and the concept of pure consciousness, grasp the body structure and understanding of the main works of the association between awareness of the domain, resulting in awareness of the significance of structural diversity of the world, showing a body of literary works "regional" presence style. Ingarden's ontological phenomenon within the context of the subject and the object around which began two regions, the interaction between subject and object and intention of the association constitutes a new domain, so that works in form and content ontology has emerged " regional "state of existence. One hand, he built the dynamic association area of "author - article - reader,", on the other hand, he presupposes structural factors and the main body of action between the intention to restrict the ideal context, so as to creating the conditions for a comprehensive show of work area's identity. Ingarden's regional study on body of literature reflects the dialectical relationship between the existence and the show, meaning and imagination, he based on the new perspective of unity of subject and object, reflect adaptation relationship between cognition subject and the basic structure of the cognition object within the field of literature, demonstration of this innovative model will bring fundamental enlightenment for the study of literature.Ingarden broke study limitations of the previous aesthetic experience theory which defined characteristics of the aesthetic experience only with the unilateral experience of subject, he has systematically investigated the phenomenon of a variety of aesthetic experience, take the interaction and relationship within the aesthetic experience , artistic works and the aesthetic object as a clues, complete a thorough analysis of the dynamics process of aesthetic experience and its nature and characteristics, try to reveal the basic structure which contained in the internal harmony activities of aesthetic experience. Ingarden good at precise description, He outlines the basic profile of elements of aesthetic experience, and then to grasp the overall logical structure of aesthetic experience, and his analytical model provides a depth reference for the post-study of aesthetic experience. Ingarden's aesthetic experience theory based on Husserl's intentionality theory .On one hand, he try to investigate the nature of aesthetic experience phenomenon from the perspective of unity and relationship between subject and object, on the other hand, he prescribe the object from the standpoint of the consciousness, so as to make aesthetic experience and aesthetic object to be in the presence of consciousness. He emphasis on study the aesthetic experience of subject, while ignore the aesthetic experience of appreciator. His analysis depend on the phenomenological description, which lead to the limitation of vague concepts and ambiguous definition in specific elaboration.His circular argument on the problem of aesthetic experience and aesthetic phenomenon has proved phenomenology itself unable to avoid difficulties in the theory and method of the double. Ingarden draws Geiger's aesthetics, he investigate aesthetic experience through the aesthetic attitude, and back view aesthetic value through aesthetic experience. His analysis on phenomenon of final stage of aesthetic experience have involved the problems of value pluralism and value judgments. His views and positions laid the foundation to carry out research on the aesthetic value.Ingarden's value study is based on the fundamental of human. He is always concerned about problems of human, and take philosophical anthropology research as the basis of value theory. Human and their consciousness behavior is the important clues to understand aesthetic value theory. Ingarden's structural systems of aesthetic value build on the analysis of literary structure of hierarchy, he is committed to study on the correspondence relationship between the work value and structure forms, try to seek the structural basis which produce features and benefits to human at all levels of the factors within the organic unity of work.This unique study path provide a method of reference for understanding and expression of the literature value's meaning. Ingarden against subjectivism and relativism of the value theory, he acknowledged the physical infrastructure of artistic value and aesthetic value that exists in the works, and try to discover and determine the value from the intrinsic properties of the work, objectivity of this position is worthy of recognition. Ingarden give primacy to the subject's experience activities and awareness activities within his aesthetic reflections of value theory. He give the reader a considerable degree of participation when study the problem of actualization of the work's value structure. whether the existence and show of value, or the establishment and implementation of value quality, are both inseparable from the aesthetic subject's specific "reconstruction" activities.On one hand, he insisted that the objectivity of aesthetic value based on works of art, on the other hand, he can't resolve the contradiction between objectivity of value structure and subjectivity of Reader participation, so as to make value fundamentally become Intention related compounds of the reader's specific activities. Ingarden's value study focused on cognition of literary works of art, system of this theory still needs to to be improved with study on other works of art. Therefore, the study on literary value theory is not the end, but the real starting point that leading to the study of artistic value theory.
