This paper focused on the studies about the crimes committed by royal vassals in Han Dynasty, and on the thought control towards the royal members. Therefore, this paper is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, the crimes committed by royal vassals are categorized into three types:political crime, ethical crimes, criminal offence, which including nearly all the illegal behaviors conducted by the royal clans. We can make further subdivision on the basis of these three types, elaborating on the concept of each crime and assessing the damage caused by it. The second chapter is analyzing the lawsuit procedure of the royal member's crimes, but we are not just discussing the general procedure, but to highlight the distinguishing feature about the crimes committed by royal clans. In the suing procedure, we can find the close supervision on the royal member is very effective, royal members also enjoy the privilege in the arresting, interrogating and sentencing. Besides, the emperor have the right to make the final adjudication, reflecting that the emperor power is domineering over the judicial capacity.In the third chapter,more diagrams and figures can be used to analyze the time feature of crimes committed by royal members,and to find out political reasons hidden behind the time feature.In addition, we will discuss the incest behavior of royal members, the incest behavior is undoubtedly a noticeable phenomenon in the royal members' crimes, we will try to analyze the reasons that it appear and disappear. Then, comparing with the crimes committed by the vassal and royal members in the pre-Qin period, we will discuss the new feature shown in Han Dynasty. In the fourth chapter,we discuss the method used by the Han Dynasty government to control the thoughts of the royal members, including education, official supervision,incentive, the discipline, giving posthumous title, all of them play a decisive role in preventing the royal members from committing a crime and controlling them.
