The Western Guangdong Min dialects refers to Zhanjiang, Maoming,Yangjiang and Yunfow area distribution of Min dialect.they moved oneafter another from Fu-jian province and the eastern GuangdongProvince from Tang and Song Dynasty and the main birthplace is Putianarea of Fujian province in Song Dynasty,which can be divided into west,east and north three pieces. Western Guangdong Min dialect retainsthe main features of the Puxian piece and Minnan piece, but at thesame time with the local indigenous language as well as a strongdialect has undergone a profound contact with the evolution, the largevariation. In terms of distribution, the use of the population, ormaintaining ancient Min dialect features,Min Dialect distribution area inwestern Guangdong are important.The Research of Western Guangdong Min dialect is extremely weak.except for asmall amount of research of Western piece (Leizhou piece), Theeast and north pieces is basically blank. The phonetic studying ofWestern Guangdong Min dialect voice can provide new Min dialectmaterials and compensate for the shortcomings of the Min dialectresearch,also,has significance to Min dialects of diachronic and synchr-onic study. Sound into question, the study Min natural soundchange and exposure to sound change, not only can reveal the originsof the Min dialect from Fujian to eastern Guangdong and then towestern Guangdong, and also helps to explore the general rules of thedialect and even language sound change.The main special phenomenon of inicial and final changes ofWestern Guangdong Min dialect is discussed in the article.The maincontent has:the change of Ming and Wei inicial; the forming and distribution of implosives,the origine of lateral fricative finals; aspiratedAffricate finals read fricative finals;some words of inicial透read [kh];evolution of Yin finals;the evolution of nasalized inicials; evolution of theGlottal stop Finals;the evolution of pinch mouth call finals;and so on.The main contribution of this paper are the following aspects:1, For the first time The Western Guangdong Min dialectpronunciation material are provided concentrated andcomprehensively to the academic circles.We investigated a dozenwestern Guangdong Min Dialect audio materials and as an appendixto the article,"The Western Guangdong Min dialects PronunciationComparative table"has been induced in this foundation. The distinctivevoice phenomenon in the Western Guangdong Min dialects havebeen made emphasis in the body part of the article. All of this has thevital significance to Min language and even Chinese dialect research.2,The phonetic evolution in the Western Guangdong Min dialectsfor the first time were made a systematic investigation, involving thepronunciation of the major consonants and vowels.For each type oftone, we try to exhaust the induction of a different tone class, to clarifythe context of sound change, to analyze the reasons for sound changeand reveal the regularity of sound change.3,We have got certain discovering On some sound changes in theWestern Guangdong Min dialects on losing the main vower "a" ofBaidu final "ua",the non-plosive finals reading implosives, the origine oflateral fricative finals and so on. At the same time, some specific soundchanges, such as the reading of some words of inicial透reading [kh]are revealed.
