The mind and behavior of man might be the most complex, the most singular, and therefore the hardest-to-explain phenomenon in the universe, but man has never ceased to explore it in terms of its ontology, epistemology, structure theory, and motion theory. Revolving around it so far available are chiefly three research categories:philosophy and culture, psychology, and physiology, which seek to study the mind culturally, psychologically, and physiologically with their own respective research starting point, theoretical foundation, and approaches and methodologies, resulting in their own respective research paradigms and theoretical systems.Based on the research results of the three categories, the thesis attempts to explore a new research paradigm and construct a new analytic framework, with which to describe and explain the essence, structure, and activity principles of the mind. The desired analytic framework includes the following three modules of thinking:(1) establishment of the structure of mind's phases with which to analyze the phases, including its structure state and motion/activity state;(2) establishment of the explaining model for all phases of the mind;(3) implementation of cultural analysis of mind's phase structures and mind's phase explaining models.According to the systemic phase structure theory, this analytic framework, referring to the description of mind activity by the three categories as three-kind-phase analysis of the mind, defines the mind's three phases, namely, the physiological phase, the psychological phase, and the cultural phase, for which respectively the corresponding phase space established so as to materialize their respective physiological representation, psychological representation, and cultural representation of the mind's activity. And all this is subject to a cultural analysis. The analysis will be a computing description of the mind in the form of a three-phased mind computing model for a scientific description of the physiological structure, psychological structure, and cultural representation of the mind, where the embodiment of the mind is exposed as well. The physiological phase refers to the nervous system phase, the physiological world, or the physiological activity space of the mind, which is housed in the nervous structure of the brain. The structuring state and working state of the cerebral neuron system constitute the physiological phase of the mind, where the mind's structure pattern is always corresponding with the physiological phase of the nervous system in the brain, which manifests itself in the form of structure, activity form, activity, and activity results of the cerebral nervous system. In the physiological phase of the mind, neurons, nervous sub-systems, and neural circuit constitute the neural network, which covers the entire nervous system of the mind, the central and peripheral nervous systems included. The complexity of its structure and functional mechanism plus its rich resources renders the system a huge neural grid system of mind. Thus, the physiological activity of mind is realized via the computing of individual modules in the neural grid system and the grid computing of the entire system as a whole. The meaning and process of mind's activity are implicit in mental algorithm, mental operator, and mental computing, which, metaphorically, are just the physiological phase of the mind. The psychological phase is "the mirror image in culture" of the mind's physiological phase and mind's psychological "image". It refers to the psychological world described by psychology, and the description in the psychological phase actually is the cultural delineation and interpretation of the physiology. Psychology is nothing but the description of the most general laws of the mind activity in the psychological phase. The attempted analytic framework hypothesizes that mind's basic representation in the psychological phase is a structure body of class and sets, and this structure body and its extension constitute the psychological cultural form, i.e. mind's psychological structure. Structure body of class and sets is the description of knowledge's abstract structure, made up of set elements such as concept set, proposition set, function set, geometry set, and subclass, etc. These elements are the psychological beings representing mind in the psychological phase, which, as the basic elements of psychological culture, due to their cultural meaning, cluster together to form the individual's psychological culture. What the structure body of class and sets represents are the content framework, structure framework, meaning framework, logic framework, relation framework of knowledge, and the mind's complete structure, experiential structure, logical culture structure, and computing structure as well. It is also the abstract structure of the world.Class and sets are epistemological concepts and algorithm concepts as well. Structure body of class and sets is a type of mathematical model and computational model, where mind's cultural meaning is woven into its algorithm, implicit in concrete mental beings. This structure body is a super-powerful computing operator, and the various mental activities of human individuals are nothing but the computing process of this 'operator'. Meanwhile, the computing of this structure body spreads far and wide, and, as a distributed parallel computing, is a typical type of "cloud computing".The cultural phase of the mind is the cultural state of mind or the manifestation of mind in human cultural phenomena. The human mind cannot but reveal itself in a certain form and meaning in certain cultural phenomena, such as the knowledge and knowledge structure mastered by an individual, human sense and sensibility, various cultural forces illustrated in cultural activities, and the human cognitive capacity to learn about the world, etc. Mind's cultural phase is evident in mind's cultural externalization, externalized into the world via its cultural projection and interaction with the world. Actually, all the content and form of cultural activities and phenomena in the cultural world are the projection of the mind, even the human world including man himself is born of the cultural projection of man's mind. In cultural activities, the mind engages with the world in interaction, in the course of which the mind gives deeper and wider cultural meaning to various objects and phenomena while absorbing more and newer cultures, contributing to its further development and construction in terms of its structure, content and meaning.
