From the angle of history and cultural, comprehensively using researchmethods of sorting out, comparing, textual research and iconography study etc., taking the concept of Palace Style as the axes, the text makes a systematic study to Flower and Bird Painting of Ming Dynasty, emphasizing on the quality of Palace style, the specific shape characteristic and historical significance of its course of happening and developing, so as to understand its succeeding and initiating importance on Chinese painting history..Research shows that the concept of Palace Style has the characteristic ofdeveloping with the times with realizing the aesthetic taste of monarch as its intension.The changeability of the monarch taste would lead to different shapes of Flower and Bird Painting of Palace Style. The Flower and Bird Painting of Ming Dynasty has a close relationship with Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty. The aesthetic taste will of Zhu Yuanzhang was mainly embodied in his score volumes works of Emperor Gao(i.e. Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang)'s Imperial Corpus, it comes to the splendor and extensiveness of Bian Jinzhao and Lu Ji's Palace Style of detailed painting's shape, the easiness and carelessness of Sun Long's Palace Style of non-line shape, the powerfulness and boldness of Lin Liang's Palace Style of wide stroke water and ink painting.F lower and Bird Painting of Palace Style is a kind of palace painting whichinherited traditions of Tang and Song Dynasty and produced a new style. Although it occurred only more than one hundred years, It played positive role on the paintings of Ming and Qing Dynasty for their basically facing to social life.
