This article interprets the way which the narrate of new edited old tales draw up the signs of Chinese traditional culture.It is composed of four parts. The first part is introduction. The section "about new edited old tales "summarized the essence aspect of new edited old tales, reviewed briefly the former studies which indicated having shortage and the reasones. The section "about culture study" marked the means of sduty and the resources of theory.The second part is total thesis. The chapter 1 tiled "genre study"indicateded that the narrate contain three different textes: historical, realistic and autobiographical .Realizing the dialectical relations among them,we can solve the problem of "genre"argued for a long time. The three textes united into culture meaning scope,while the genre of narrate is allegory by which new edited old tales reprensent the whole meaning world of Chinese culture.The second chapter titled "interpret stduy" probe the three codes of the meaning world: logical, phychological and practical ,which be negation principle,memory and intervention,by which composed the fundmentional aspect ofculture interpretion.The third chapter titled "narrative study"explores the dialectical relations between form and content to gain three narrative melodies and grammer.The fourth chapter titled "style study" focus upon the peculiarity of the style of new edited old tales which named "glib". The"glib"was a type of jocose dicourse whose origin was "paiyou"(actors).The third pact is divided thesis. According to the diffirent features of narrate, the eight anlyses use diffirent interpreting means, such as psychoanlysis ,narrative theory, and so on. In addition,these anlysis gives an comparetive complehension to the obscurities in the narrave.
