If we have a bird-eye's view on the development of human civilization in the 21 century, we can find that the most inspiring and most exciting achievement is global ecological consciousness and postmodern ecological wisdom. On the level of reality, this achievement initiates from the concern with human survival condition and future development, and on the level of history, it is really a return on higher basis to the civilization consciousness of the embryo of culture development. It can be said that the achievement has deep and general philosophical meanings in the course of human civilization.Therefore, the topic of this paper is on interpretation of the postmodernist environmental ethics and ecological wisdom, which are appeared and formed in the 20 century. Its point of view is that environmental ethics and postmodern philosophy are inherently identical. The aim of the paper is to establish an ecological view and ecological idea for environmental ethics reasonably, and to provide a methodology and value for environmental ethics more scientifically.This paper is composed of following six chapters.Chapter 1: The summary of the interpretation of postmodern environment ethics. This part introduces briefly the basic methodology and the theorical frame of environmental ethics.Chapter 2: The environmental ethics and the postmodernity. This part mainly analyzes the connection between the environment ethics and postmodernist spirit, demonstrates postmodern character of the contemporary ecological world view, discusses the methodological meaning of postmodernist environmental ethics.Chapter 3: The predicament of modernity and the postmodern turning of environmental ethics. This part analyzes the value crisis of the traditional anthropoeentrism, demonstrates the legitimacy and postmodern meaning of non-anthropocentrism, discusses the environmental ethics of Heidegger- a typical postmodern forerunner.Chapter 4: The deconstruction of reason and the postmodern environmental ethics. This part mainly discusses the most contemporary famous moralist Rolston's theory of natural value and postmodern meaning, analyzes the postmodern axiology of Deep ecology which is the most theory of the contemporary environmental movement, finally analyzes ecofeminism which is of has the postmodern consciousness in contemporary western green trends.Chapter 5: Some Technical and cultural remarks on the postmodern environmental ethics. This part analyzes the causes leading to environmental issues and ecological crisis, discusses the legitimacy of the technological value and function dialectically, puts forward the ecological turning and meaning of the contemporary science and technology, analyzes the basis of postmodern ethics culture and axiology in environmental ethics'changes.Chapter 6: The postmodern dialogue and development on environmental ethics. This part analyzes a postmodern global consciousness and global ethics, explaines the constructive principles of postmodern environmental ethics, points out the development direction of postmodern environmental ethics.The purpose of the essay is demonstrating the inherent identification of environment ethics and postmodern philosophy systematically.
