A Study Of Development Of He-Qifang's Mental Character

He-Qifang( 1912—1977), a famous poet and writer in 1930s, went to Yan'an to join the revolution after the War of Resistance Against Japan breaking out and went to Chongqing twice to work for united unity of literature and art circles in 1940s. He has taken part in and endured all political movement of literature and art circles in the People's Republic of China. The role he played changed from "literati" to "literary soldier" to "literary soldier" and "government official of academic circles". Therefore, He-Qifang is a typical case in the Movement of remolding Intellectuals' ideology among Chinese literature and art theorists. Combining the study of historical documents and the study of Generation doctrine, this article not only discover the contribution and illness of He-Qifang's works in the background of 20^th century but also try to describe the zigzag course of He-Qifang's mental character and answer a question-how his mental character was showed in his literature study.He-Qifang's gene of early mental character was lack of both the value of person and awareness of literature.
