Lao Qi Da is the teaching material with which Koreans studied Chinese in the Yuan Dynasty. The book was firstly published in the Yuan Dynasty and reprinted repetitiously in Korea in the periods of the Ming and Qing Dynasties with time and learning needs. The book was modified according to the current language, so the different editions can generally reflect the language visage of northern Chinese from the Yuan to Qing Dynasty. Vocabularies of four kinds of editions in Lao Qi Da are studied and the difference reflected in those vocabularies is compared in the article. The timely changes of the vocabularies in these three periods are revealed and the evolving rules are showed in the article, so the article can provide the reliable gist for middle-aged Chinese study.The article is divided into six chapters:Chapter â… : Outlining the editions and current study situation of Lao Qi Da as well as achievements of previous solons. Illustrating the necessity and meaning by the way of pointing out shortcomings of previous studies on that.Chapter â…¡: Disgusting the vocabulary character in aspects of oral, dialect, foreign words and vulgarism, and explaining briefly some words among them.Chapter â…¢: Comparing the vocabulary difference of four kinds of editions and inspecting the noun replacement. The replaceable processes are meticulously described and analyzed including three groups of time nouns, four groups of place nouns, six groups of appellation nouns, and seven groups of other nouns according to Lao Qi Da, at the same time the simultaneous and previously relative language materials are referenced, so the conclusion is trustworthy.Chapter â…£: Inspecting the replacement of ten groups of verbs and four groups of adjectives of the four editions in Lao Qi Da in the same ways of the chapter three.Chapter â…¤: Discussing the development of the whole middle-aged Chinese vocabularies by studying Lao Qi Da. The developing orient of the middle-aged Chinese and the variety reason are mainly discussed.Chapter â…¥: describing the vulgarism of Lao Qi Da and Piao long shi . Analyzing its construction and meaning so that the characteristic is concluded.
