Poetics Studies On Lu Xun's Essays

Lu Xun's essays represent the most outstanding standard in Chinese modern essay. This thesis studies Lu Xun's essays in the poetics perspective, takes diflFerent kinds of theory resources for reference and most importantly, it pays importance to form study methods for study subjects in the process of repeatedly reading Lu Xun's works to raise new views on his thoughts, character and works.This thesis explores the uniqueness of Lu Xun's essay art, i.e. the truth-telling poetics of Lu Xun's essays, by adopting the thinking-art oriented approach. It first analyses the inner relationship of Lu Xun's essay art and his thoughts, value orientation and humanity complex, and then argues his artistic value of reasoning thought from different perspectives such as witty reasoning, image thought, emotions and reasons, humor and irony while taking Lu Xun's essay thinking as an organic whole.This thesis studies Lu Xun in his essays while studying his essays to illustrate Lu Xun's taste for life. Therefore, the author holds that the main aesthetic character of Lu Xun's essays is sublimity instead of humor. At the same time, this thesis carries out thoughts on Lu Xun's essays' non-standardization and views them as examples of "law for oneself which expands thoughts on essay studies and lays a good foundation for Chinese modern essay theories' construction.
